Mato Grosso: soy state of the world

Mato Grosso state is today Brazil’s leading soybean producer. Annually, around 25 million tonnes of soy is harvested here. The majority of this harvest is being sold to the European animal feed industry. The Brazilian family-owned business Grupo André Amaggi is one of the biggest processors of soy and their true soy-imperium has turned three family members into billionaires.
