Globally, we have to reduce the use of antibiotics to hence reduce antimicrobial resistance. Restoring and enhancing diversity of the microbiota by adding mannan-rich fragments in the diet can be used to reach this goal. The gut plays a critical role in health and well-being and houses a vastly complex community of microorganisms.
